Enhancing Career Guidance Services in Albania: ACDA Conducts a Comprehensive Satisfaction Survey
The Albania Career Development Association (ACDA), with the support from RisiAlbania (a project supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, implemented by Helvetas), has successfully conducted a comprehensive Satisfaction Survey on career guidance services offered by key institutions in Albania. This significant initiative aimed to assess and enhance the quality of career guidance services provided by the University of Tirana, Polytechnic University of Tirana, Agricultural University of Tirana, Aleksandër Moisiu University of Durrës, and the Career Counseling Office at the Municipality of Tirana.
The project, conducted by ACDA experts, involved a detailed survey methodology combining both qualitative and quantitative approaches. This multi-faceted strategy included online questionnaires, face-to-face meetings, and focused group discussions to gather a comprehensive set of data from the target groups.
By leveraging the insights gained from this survey, the partner institutions are better equipped to refine their strategies and enhance the support they provide to career guidance users, including students, pupils, and mid-career professionals. This initiative by ACDA and RisiAlbania underscores a commitment to empowering Albania’s youth by continuously improving career guidance services.
Xhafer Rakipllari, the key expert from ACDA for this study, emphasized the importance of this initiative: “Our collaboration with RisiAlbania and the participating institutions reflects our dedication to fostering a supportive environment for career development. We are committed to empowering Albania’s youth by providing them with the necessary tools and resources for successful career development. Our goal is to continuously improve and expand the reach of career guidance services to make a significant impact on the lives of young Albanians.”
Nives Lamçe, also from ACDA, added: “The comprehensive approach of this survey ensures that we gather valuable insights to guide the future of career guidance services in Albania. We are committed to supporting career counselors with the necessary tools and resources to effectively guide students and professionals.”
As we move forward, ACDA will continue to collaborate closely with educational institutions and local authorities to enhance the quality and accessibility of career guidance services. By empowering career counselors and fostering a supportive network, we aim to create a brighter future for Albania’s youth.
